Investor Sentiment

NeatlySaid concept states for unveiling all indicators and factors that may affect stock markets and investments in general. Why's that so important? Because we believe that all signs appear long time before they are manifested in stock charts. Unlinke technical analysis, which is not reliable usually, pure fundamental analysis is in fact the real thing. If so, the big question is how to obtain the best results from fundamental analysis and above all, what are the sources one should rely on?

NeatlySaid believes the answer hides in the community.Did all big analysts in the past year mention a market crash before it happened? Why investment banks and big analysts predicted that oil will reach $200 a barrel a year ago?

NeatlySaid thinks the answer is quite simple: speculations and more speculations...

The solution we suggest consists in identifying first of all the main categories in investments:

1) Stocks
2) Regions
3) Sectors
4) Commodities
5) Currencies

Secondly, let you have a simple mechanism where you can post daily things you wonder about, think of, imagine, read in articles and so, and associate it with the five categories mentioned. You tell how's your statement or quotation going to influence on any of the related categories - that's your prediction. If you are just speculating, people in the community will notice that and will rank this post what it deserves...

Take the following example (http://www.neatlysaid.com/post.jsp?sayId=492):

Someone stated "El niƱo effect may cause severe agriculture damage in the south eastern parts of asia, due to both droughts and floods", and associated that with rice, which falls in the commodities category, predicting a huge impact on this commodity. This user believes that severe weather conditions will hit the rice fields in a way that it will cause a shortage worldwide resulting eventually in soaring prices of rice.

By collecting posts from all users, NeatlySaid is able to calculate a general investor sentiment for each asset that falls in one of the five categories. For example, the sentiment calculated for rise http://www.neatlysaid.com/tag.jsp?val=15&type=2.

More examples yet to come...
